Weekly Top 30 May 10th

We are still a bit behind but trust me, we'll catch up!!!

This weeks chart sees the continued domination of Tame Impala for it's 4th week! It looks like Purity Ring will not get it's second #1 song of the year as "Flood On the Floor" falls to number 5. Waxahatchee, Hot Chip and Grimes still stand poised to take over when the Aussies finally relinquish their top spot!

New to the Top 10 is former Das Racist rapper Heems with his neato rap track "Sometimes". A bit less campy that some DR songs but still clever and cute! Also new to the Top 10 is Boise, Idaho's own Built To Spill with their new song "Living Zoo".

Songs from the Chemical Brothers, FKA Twigs and Jamie XX continue to move swiftly up the charts and new songs from Sufjan Stevens, the Chromatics, Ben Khan and Lord Huron all make their entry into the Top 30.

Weekly Top 30 May 3rd

We are into the 5th month of the year and so we have plenty of songs now that are locks for some of the top spots in the year end Top 500!

This week's number 1 is no exception as Tame Impala has another week in the top spot with "Let It Happen".  While I like "elephant" better, this song will definitely be in the Top 10 of 2015, as the former didn't crack the Top 20 of the year.

Tei Shi, a beauuuutiful and talented Argentine singer has entered top 10 with her smooth, housey, synthy "Basically".  Song has a killer beat that never quits and her voice is just understated enough to make this song not all about her. I'm a fan!  Blur's new single has also cracked the Top 10.

Big movers this week.....the Chemical Brothers. Their new album comes out in July and yep, their new single is AWESOME! "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted" is a classic Chemical Brothers song and although it never builds up into an absolute frenzy, the song never dies either.  Good stuff and cannot wait to hear the whole record and see them live again.

Also new is Florence and the Machine and a new song from Jamie XX.

Weekly Top 30 April 26th

We seem to be getting even further behind but no matter, we will keep on keeping on until we catch up!

Not much has changed from last week as Tame Impala has a hold on the number 1 song and Purity Ring is right behing.  Braids and Waxahatchee are furiously trying to catch the two Top 30 powerhouses, but it remains to be seen if they will.

New to the top 10 is the second single from Death Cab For Cutie "No Room For Frame"

Entering the Top 30 this week are new songs from FKA Twigs, the Mountain Goats and Built To Spill.

Weekly Top 30 April 19th

This week sees a new number 1 song with Tame Impala finally scoring a chart topper with new track "Let It Happen". Tame Impala are finally getting the recognition they deserve and expect them to be everywhere in 2015! 

New to the Top 10 are Grimes and Hot Chip. Both Top 10 veterans, either one of these two songs could end up at #1 soon.

Modest Mouse, Twin Shadow and Das Racist partner Heems are all new to the Top 30 as well as new Of Monsters & Men and St. Vincent.
